伊万卡是纽约地产大亨唐纳德·特朗普与他第一任妻子所生的孩子。伊万卡早年就读于纽约市的巴黎的查平学校（The Chapin School），高中毕业于美国瓦林福德镇（Wallingford）的罗丝玛丽中学（Choate Rosemary Hall ），康奈蒂克州。伊万卡在乔治城大学（Georgetown University）读了2年，然后又转入宾夕法尼亚大学的沃顿商学院（the University of Pennsylvania），并于2004年以优等成绩获得经济学学士学位。[2][3][4]
