凯文·派屈克·史密斯 (Kevin Patrick Smith，1970年8月2日) 是一名美国导演、编剧、演员和制片人，同时也是一名畅销漫画作者。他早期的几部电影大都以他的家乡新澤西州为背景[1]。

他生于新澤西州的蒙茅斯縣，他母亲葛瑞丝（Grace）是一名家庭主妇，他父亲唐纳德·E·史密斯（Donald E. Smith） (1936–2003)是一名邮政工人[2][3]。他有一个姐姐薇吉妮亚（Virginia），和一个哥哥唐纳德·史密斯二世（Donald Smith,Jr）。他家人是爱尔兰裔美国人，家庭信仰天主教[4][5]。
中学毕业后，他认识了杰森·缪斯（Jason Mewes）(后来成为美国男演员，杰森多次主演他导演的电影)。他后来入读紐約市的新學院和温革华电影学院(Vancouver Film School)，并在温革华电影学院认识了史考特·莫西尔（Scott Mosier）(未来的制片人，凯文的大多数电影都由他监制)。他在温革华学院主修电影，不过并没有正式毕业就中途退学了，之后他选择了一个退还部分学费的课程以为自己的首部电影筹备资金。

他妻子Jennifer Schwalbach Smith是名演员，女儿Harley Quinn生于1999年6月26日[6]。他家位于加州好莱坞，是他于2003年从他长期的好友Ben Affleck手中购买的[7]。
