凯文·哈特以其喜剧表演出名，他为Comedy Central做了多次电视专场表演，包括“I'm a Grown Little Man”以及“Seriously Funny”。其喜剧表演电影《Laugh at My Pain》于2011年9月9日开始在剧院上映，并于2012年1月17日发售DVD。[1]
2011年6月26日，哈特主持了2011年的黑人娱乐电视奖，[2]并且在同年的MTV音乐录像带奖中，由他做开场白并制作了多段串场短片，用来介绍最佳新人奖的候选人。[3]他还出现在eBay和Air Jordan等广告中。2012年，哈特主持了MTV音乐录像带奖。
哈特还在2011年11月2日客串出演了情景喜剧《摩登家庭》，扮演菲尔·邓飞的邻居安德鲁。[4]

凯文·哈特与妻子托瑞·哈特（Torre Hart）于2003年完婚。2005年3月，他们的女儿海文·李·哈特（Heaven Leigh Hart）降生，他们的儿子亨德瑞·哈特于2008年2月出生。2010年，哈特同妻子离婚。[5]
