國際標準化組織

國際標準化組織（英文：International Organization for Standardization，簡稱ISO[1]）成立於1947年2月23日，是製作全世界工商業國際標準的各國國家標準機構代表的國際標準建立機構，總部設於瑞士日內瓦，成員包括162個會員國。該組織自我定義為非政府組織，官方語言是英語、法語和俄語。參加者包括各會員國的國家標準機構和主要公司。
中華民國原是ISO創始國之一，但目前中華民國已不是ISO成員，但《中華民國國家標準》通常仍參考ISO標準。
中華人民共和國在1978年9月1日以中國標準化協會的名義參加ISO，並在1982年9月當選並連任理事國（1983年～1994年）。1985年和1989年，分別改由國家標準局和國家技術監督局參加。2001年起，在ISO代表中華人民共和國會籍的會員機構是國家標準化管理委員會。
香港和澳門均是ISO通訊成員(correspondent members)。
ISO與負責電子設備標準的國際電工委員會密切合作。
ISO的國際標準以數字表示。例如，「ISO 11180:1993」的「11180」是標準號碼，而「1993」是出版年份。
国际标准化组织的简称ISO来自于希腊语的单词isos，意为“相同”，并不是英语或法语名称的缩写。
