密接聯星是天文學中伴星與主星非常接近，共享一個互相接觸或合併的氣體包層的聯星系統。共享包層的聯星系統也稱為overcontact或共享包層聯星^[1]^[2]^[3]。幾乎所有已知的密接聯星都是食聯星^[4]，這類食密接聯星稱為大熊座W變星，其原型為大熊座W ^[5]。

密接聯星經常會與共包層星混淆。然而，前者是在其數百萬至數十億年的一生中，有令人動容的穩定組態的兩顆聯星；後者描述的是聯星發展在恆星動力學不穩定的階段，不是驅散就是共享恆星包層，而在時間尺度上只有幾個月到數年。
