彼得·拉克斯（英语：Peter David Lax，1926年5月1日－）是一名匈牙利裔美国数学家。研究的领域与成就主要有可积分系统（integrable system）、流体动力学和激波、孤波物理学、双曲线函数保存法（hyperbolic conservation laws），以及数学与计算科学等领域。他是一名ISI highly cited researcher[1]。

他生于布达佩斯的一个犹太人家庭。1941年跟随父母(Klara Kornfield 与 Henry Lax，都是医生)移民美国纽约市，并就读于史岱文森高中[2]。1948年，他与数学家Anneli Cahn结婚。
1947年他获得纽约大学数学学士，1949年又取得博士学位，辅导老师是Kurt O. Friedrichs。
