Tijs Verwest(在1969年 1月17日出生於荷蘭 Breda), 或Tiesto是一位國際首屈一指的Trance DJs. 就算他在以前用了很多的別名, 但DJ Tiësto仍然是他工作上知名度最高的名字. 時至今日, 由於他的作品的關係, 他的"DJ"名號已不再出現了, 從而變成簡單的"Tiësto". Tijs從學校派對中開始了他的职業打碟生涯, 及後在1985年及1993年於荷蘭的几个俱樂部中成為駐場DJ. 在這些年間, 他用了Da Joker及DJ Limited這2個別名製作了很多的Hardcore/Gabber音樂. 當時, 他在周末晚上10時至早上4時的時候, 在一間位於Breda名叫"The Spock"的小俱樂部中的一間分隔開的房中, 開始尋找著他的音樂風格. 在1990年的中期, 他開始製作著Trance, 及在1997年時與Arny Bink合作開了Black Hole Recordings以推出他的作品. Black Hole Recordings及它的屬下唱片公司Magik Muzik同時簽了Cor Fijneman, Ton TB, 及Mark Norman這幾位Tiësto's眼中的Trance製作精英及DJs.
