杉原千畝(1900年1月1日-1986年7月31日),日本岐阜縣出身,日本外交官,曾經是日本駐立陶宛代領事,在第二次世界大戰期間不顧外務省訓令,擅發日本過境簽証予猶太人,總共發出了近2,150張簽証,拯救了逾6,000名猶太人(占當時立陶宛全國1/3猶太人),有“日本的辛德勒”之稱。
1945年日本投降後,杉原千畝成為戰俘,與家人在收容所待了一年,於1947年自歐洲返回日本,定居於神奈川縣藤澤市,被外務省誤解為與猶太人金錢交易而被免職。自從過著困苦生活,其家人亦接二連三的去世。
1968年,以色列駐日本大使館通報尋求杉原千畝,並且與曾經接受他幫助的猶太人見面。1985年,由以色列政府頒發國際義人予杉原千畝,以表揚他的行為,使到他的污名獲得平反。1986年7月31日,杉原千畝因心臟病逝世,享年86歲。

- 立陶宛首都維爾紐斯和第二大城考那斯的“杉原街”與小行星25893以杉原為名。
- 2000年10月,日本外務省於外交資料館設立紀念碑,稱讚杉原為「具有勇氣做出人道行為的外交官」。杉原的故鄉岐阜縣加茂郡八百津町設立了杉原千畝紀念館。
- 2005年10月,日本電視台播出電視劇《日本的辛德勒─杉原千畝的故事:來自日本的救命簽證》(日本のシンドラー杉原千畝物語・六千人の命のビザ),由反町隆史飾演杉原千畝。
