亚曼达·李·罗杰斯在澳大利亚维多利亚州霍舍姆出生，她的母亲叫玛格丽特（Margaret），是一名护士。她父亲Barry Rogers去世时她只有九岁。[3]15岁时，她把名字改成了波蒂亚·德·罗西。[4]
个人生活[编辑]
波蒂亚·德·罗西是一个公开的女同性恋。她从1996年到1999年曾经嫁给一个男人，是纪录片导演梅尔·梅特卡夫，但她同时表示，结婚是为了绿卡。[4]2004年，德·罗西与脱口秀主持人艾伦·狄珍妮（Ellen DeGeneres）开始了另一段感情，两人于2008年8月16日在加州比佛利山庄的家里结婚。[5]2010年9月23日她把名字改为波蒂亞·李·詹姆斯·狄珍妮[6]，在2011年9月成为美国公民。[7]
