泰坦鳥（學名Titanis）是一屬非常大及不能飛的獵食鳥類，其名字是以古希臘奧林匹斯十二主神之前的泰坦來命名，意謂其巨大的身型。泰坦鳥屬下只有一種，稱為泰坦巨鳥（T. walleri），是紀念完模標本的發現者Benjamin I. Waller。牠生存於500-180萬年前的北美洲，在美國科羅拉多州及德克薩斯州都有發現其化石。估計牠們直至15000年前才滅絕[1]，但更準確的估計是最少於180萬年前就已經滅絕了。[2][3]泰坦鳥是屬於巨大及不能飛的駭鳥，在分支中屬較年輕的物種。

泰坦鳥估計約高1.4-2.5米及重150公斤，但差異較大，故牠們有可能是兩性異形。[4]雖然未有發現牠的頭顱骨，但從其近親可以肯定它是很大，且有像斧頭的鳥嘴。牠的雙翼細小，故不可能用來飛翔，相反有一對爪可以用來抓住獵物。整體而言，牠非常似牠最的近親：南美洲的恐鶴及Devincenzia。就牠的遺骸所知甚少，只知道比Devincenzia的腳窄，但中趾則按比例較大。[5]
