滚动更新（又稱滚动发行）是指软件开发中，不断的开发软件系统模式，用来代替传统的通过重新安装新版本来代替之前版本的发行方式。而「滚动软件」，用来代替的则是需要重新安装才可以更新到新版本的软件模式。滚动更新的开发模式是一种软件发行方式，更新的开发模式和传统的发行模式有着较少的相同之处。
尽管滚动更新的软件发行模式可以任何的软件发行，但通常情况下，仅出现在少数人使用的Linux发行版。使用滚动发行的Linux发行版通常被称为「滚动发行版」。
