愛德華六世（英语：Edward VI，1537年10月12日－1553年7月6日），英格蘭與愛爾蘭國王，1547年1月28日即位，同年2月20日加冕時，年僅九歲。他是亨利八世和珍·西摩的兒子，為都鐸王朝第三任君主，也是英格蘭首位信奉新教的統治者。

1539年的愛德華王子，小漢斯·霍爾拜因繪。他手握樣似權杖的金色撥浪鼓，而畫中的拉丁文銘刻則敦促著愛德華：與他的父親匹敵或甚超越之。^[1]

愛德華王子1537年10月12日出生於密德塞克斯郡漢普敦宮他母親的房間中^[2]，是英王亨利八世和第三任妻子珍·西摩的兒子，也是英格蘭王室終於盼到的男性繼承人^[3]。珍·西摩在產後恢復迅速，送出先前簽署的文件，正式宣布「由國王陛下與我們之間至為合法婚姻所孕育的王子」的誕生。英格蘭舉國歡騰，教堂內吟唱起《讚美頌》，城裡點燃篝火，慶祝著愛德華的誕生^[4]。愛德華在10月15日受洗，由瑪麗公主擔任教母、伊莉莎白公主塗抹聖油^[4]，嘉德紋章院長封為康沃爾公爵和切斯特伯爵^[5]。然而，10月23日珍·西摩突然病況加劇，出現一連串產後併發症，翌夜即過世。亨利八世在寫給法王法蘭索瓦一世的信中提到，「……她為我帶來喜悅，天主卻將它混攪著她的死所帶來的苦痛。」^[6]

愛德華即位時，由於未臻成熟，英格蘭實由攝政議會治理。議會由他的舅父愛德華·西摩，第一代薩默塞特公爵領導（1547年—1549年），後被約翰·達德利，第一代華威伯爵取代（1549年—1553年），即後來的諾森伯蘭公爵。

愛德華統治時期，英格蘭飽受經濟問題和社會動盪所擾，終在1549年爆發暴動和叛亂。在與蘇格蘭的戰役中，英格蘭起先取得優勢，但最後自當地和濱海布洛涅大舉撤軍。愛德華亦加強英國國教改革。亨利八世時期，英國國教會雖然脫離了天主教會，但他始終沒有宣布廢除天主教教義或儀式。愛德華首度將新教定為英格蘭國教，廢除彌撒和神職人員的獨身制度，並在英格蘭實施義務兵役。這次改革是由坎特伯雷大主教托馬斯·克蘭麥設計，他所編著的《公禱書》亦沿用至今。

1553年，愛德華得知自己的生命已到末期後，與議會擬定了「繼承案」，試圖阻止國家再度落入天主教勢力。愛德華任命他的表親珍·格蕾為王位繼承人，將他同父異母的姐姐瑪麗和伊莉莎白都排除在外。然而，此舉引發極大爭議，珍·格蕾在愛德華逝後登基，不過九天便被瑪麗推翻，即瑪麗一世。瑪麗是天主教徒，上任後立刻著手撤銷許多愛德華時期的新教改革，並對境內新教徒進行殘忍鎮壓；直到1559年伊莉莎白一世即位，新教才又恢復地位。
