降解体

降解体(Degradosome)是存在于大多数细菌中的一种多亚基蛋白质复合物,其功能为参与核糖体RNA的加工以及信使RNA的降解,[1][2]故又可称为RNA降解体

发现[编辑]

1994年,瑞士日内瓦大学的Henry Krisch所领导的实验室和英国剑桥大学的Christopher Higgins所领导的实验室分别发表文章提出了细菌中存在着一种可以降解RNA的蛋白质复合物,也就是降解体;[3][4][5]他们是在对大肠杆菌的RNase E和PNPase的研究和鉴定过程中得到这一发现。[1]

组成[编辑]

降解体的主要成分为核糖核酸酶E(RNase E)、多核苷酸磷酸化酶(PNPase)、RNase螺旋酶B(RhlB)和烯醇酶(enolase)。[6][7]
