本条目不是关于Tityus的女儿，Euphemus的母亲（父亲是波塞冬），她也叫做欧罗巴。

歐羅巴也是歐洲的全稱。

1869年居斯塔夫·莫罗作品顯示欧罗巴和宙斯。

历史和希腊神话上欧罗巴是美丽的腓尼基公主，主要有两种关于她的故事，一说她被主神宙斯诱奸，后宙斯将她带至克里特岛。一说她是被克里特人绑架到克里特岛。欧洲大陆以她的名字命名。

古希腊的历史学家希罗多德（约公元前485—约公元前425年）认为欧罗巴是克里特人绑架到克里特岛的。他们这样做是为了报复对阿耳戈斯的公主伊俄的绑架。

古罗马诗人奥维德写下了下列诗句描述宙斯的诱奸:

And gradually she lost her fear, and he

Offered his breast for her virgin caresses,

His horns for her to wind with chains of flowers

Until the princess dared to mount his back

Then—slowly, slowly down the broad, dry beach—

First in the shallow waves the great god set

英文Europa指木卫二，它是木星最亮的四颗行星之一，与木星的距离排在其卫星的第七位，最早为伽俐略观测到，属于伽利略卫星之一。
