LibreOffice（發音：/ˌliː.brəˈɒ.fɪs/）是一套可與其他主要辦公室軟體相容的套件，可在各種平台上執行[1]，包括Microsoft Windows、Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger或更新版本，以及基于Linux的系统（Linux内核版本为2.6.18或更新）。計畫目標是成為一個具開放文件格式（ODF）支援、獨立於任何廠商之外、真正不受私有版权制约的辦公室套件。它的名字是一個混合詞，第一部分「Libre」在西班牙語和法語中意味著「自由」，第二部分「Office」則為英語「辦公室」單字。它是可供人免費下載、使用和散佈的自由軟體。

LibreOffice 的版本號碼被設置為與 OpenOffice.org 一致，故初始發布（2010年）即為第三版，並不存在第二版、第一版。LibreOffice 第三版預設的檔案格式是国际标准化组织（ISO）的Open Document Format（.odt, .odp, .ods, .odg）。

Writer
一款与Microsoft Word或WordPerfect有着类似功能和文件支持的文字处理器。它包含大量所见即所得的文字处理能力，但也可作为一个基本的文本编辑器来使用[1]。
Calc
一款电子试算表程序，类似于Microsoft Excel或Lotus 1-2-3。它包含大量特有的特性，包括一个基于用户可用的信息来自动定义图标系列的系统。[1][2]。
Impress
一款类似Microsoft PowerPoint的演示文稿程序。演示文稿可以被导出为SWF文件，任何装有Adobe Flash的计算机都可以查看[1][3]。
Draw
一款类似的Microsoft Visio的矢量图形编辑器和图表工具，特性上和早期版本的CorelDRAW具有可比性。它提供了多种线性在形状间进行连接，便于绘制像流程图这样的图表。它还包括了一些特性类似于桌面出版软件，如Scribus和 Microsoft Publisher[4]。
Base
一款数据库管理程序，类似于Microsoft Access。LibreOffice Base 可以创建和管理数据库、表单和报告，为最终用户提供访问数据的便捷方法。就像Access那样，它可以被用来创建使用文件保存的小型嵌入式数据库（使用基于Java的HSQLDB作为存储引擎），对于更加复杂的任务，它还可以被用作多种数据库系统的前端，包括Access数据库（JET）、ODBC/JDBC数据源以及MySQL或PostgreSQL。[1][5]。 Base可能不包含于发布包中，而需要单独安装[6]。
Math
一款被设计用来创建和编辑数学公式的应用程序。使用OpenDocument说明中定义的XML的变体来创建公式。这些公式可以通过集成在文档中被其他LibreOffice组件使用，如Writer或Calc[7]。

支持的格式[编辑]

LibreOffice可以以多种文件格式导入和导出文档[1]，它的原生格式是开放文档格式（ODF）。支持读写Microsoft Office使用的格式，包括在Microsoft Office 2007和2012上所使用的Office Open XML，扩展名为.docx、.pptx和.xlsx[8]，以及Microsoft Office 95和97–2003所使用的更早的格式，扩展名为.doc、.ppt和.xls。富文本格式（.rtf）和OpenOffice.org XML格式也同样被支持[9]。

LibreOffice支持VBA巨集，可以导入Microsoft Works和Lotus Word Pro的文件。LibreOffice Draw原生支持打开SVG文件，而OpenOffice.org Draw则需要安装扩展才能打开[10][11][12]。支持增强的EMF绘图以及WordPerfect图形导入。LibreOffice 3.5版中，引入了一个新的Visio .vsd过滤器。

在2010年9月28日，幾個 OpenOffice.org 的開發成員成立了文件基金會（The Document Foundation），希望接手開發被甲骨文公司（Oracle）放棄的 OpenOffice.org 計畫；最初文件基金會也邀請甲骨文成為其中的一員，但是甲骨文拒絕提供 OpenOffice.org 的品牌給文件基金會使用[13]。隨後甲骨文要求參與文件基金會的成員退出 OpenOffice.org 的開發社群[14]，因為甲骨文認為參與文件基金會和該公司的利益發生衝突。

隨後 OpenOffice.org 其中一個分支 Go-oo 決定支持 LibreOffice，宣佈停止開發[15]，並且把開發成果合併到LibreOffice中[16][17]。

最終，隨著開發者轉移到 LibreOffice 上，甲骨文宣佈停止 OpenOffice.org 的商業支援[18]。2011年6月，甲骨文宣布将 OpenOffice.org 捐赠给Apache軟體基金会，未来 OpenOffice.org 的发展将由Apache軟體基金会主导[19][20][21]。

3.3版本[编辑]

基于OpenOffice.org 3.3的LibreOffice 3.3.0 Beta 1版本于2010年9月28日发布，并且下载量达到8万多次[22]。3.3版本作为第一个稳定版本于2011年1月25日发布[23]。由于Document Foundation以及大多数该软件开发者认为LibreOffice是OpenOffice.org的直接继承，因此LibreOffice延续了OpenOffice.org的版本号。

LibreOffice 3.3增加了一些OpenOffice.org没有的功能，主要和Sun以及后来的Oracle的版权要求有关。大多数3.3版本中的特性直接来自一些已经存在的插件以及Go-oo。其中LibreOffice独有的特性有：[24]

3.4.0版本于2011年6月3日发布[26][27]。3.4的早期版本包含一些bug，包括与Microsoft Office的兼容性问题，因此只适用于那些早期使用者[28]。到了3.4.2版本，已经适用于企业使用了[29]。

3.4版本的新特性和增强包括：[30]

  • Calc的增强，包括速度的提高，以及与Microsoft Excel的兼容性，包括数据透视表（之前在OOo/LO中被称为DataPilot）、不限制字段个数，以及一个重新设计的移动/复制对话框[32][27]。

文档基金会计划每六个月发布一个新的LibreOffice主要版本，通常和其他自由软件项目一样在三月或六月[26]。

基金会提供两种不同的LibreOffice版本。最新版本为用户最新的的增强特性，较早版本适用于需要稳定的用户[48]。
