I do not know if anyone on here can read this, but there is a Chinese folktale about how Wu Song meets his swordmaster Zhou Tong (周侗), the teacher of Yue Fei (岳飞). If you can read English, follow this link to the story. Please translate this tale into Chinese at your leisure or just find the Chinese version of it online. It would also be nice to see the Chinese Zhou Tong page expanded. I am sure there are a lot more Chinese sources than there are English about Zhou Tong. Zhou Tong was not mentioned in the novel Shuihu at all. That character only appeared in ShuoYueQuanZhuan, about Yue Fei, to show that Yue Fei's teacher was the master of other famous people like Wu Song. It's like now I write a book Wars of Middleland, and then say the great wizard Foobar's teacher John Doe also taught Gandalf many years ago. Are you going to edit the page for Gandalf to say "Gandalf learned his skills from John Doe"? --蒙人 ->敖包相会 22:44 2007年3月16日 (UTC)
I know that Zhou Tong was not mentioned in the Water Margin. I also know that Zhou Tong was mentioned in Yue Fei's fictional biography. However, there is a Chinese folklegend from Yangzhou that mentions how Wu Song learned the "Rolling Dragon" sword style from Zhou Tong while he was on assignment in Kaifeng. I have given a book citation of where I got the story from. I realize that it is fiction, but the portrayal of Wu Song from the Water Margin is also fictional and is worth mentioning on the Wu Song page. (Ghostexorcist March 17, 2007)
