I think it is more appropriate to use the term 普通話 in this article. In the original article the term 國語 was used, but usage of this term may imply that St John's Cathedral may have significant connections with Taiwan/Republic of China. In fact this Cathedral was built by the British and it is now fucntioning in Hong Kong (part of PRC). In their website they also emphasised the church is located in the Hong Kong SAR of China and I see this church has nothing to do with Taiwan. In the official website the term 普通話 is used.
