使用此訊息框只要加上{{Infobox Military Structure}}模板即可，如下述：

• name – 建築物名稱。
• partof – 選擇性 – 該建築物是何建築物的一部分。
• location – 建築物的地理位置。
• coordinates – 選擇性 – 建築物位置的座標，請用{{coord}}表示。
• image – 選擇性 – 建築物的圖片，必須要用 [[File:Example.jpg|300px]]的格式，請不要使用「thumb」。
• caption – 選擇性 – 圖片下方的說明。
• image2 – 選擇性 – 建築物的第二張圖片，必須要用 [[File:Example.jpg|300px]]的格式，請不要使用「thumb」。
• caption2 – 選擇性 – 第二張圖片下方的說明。
• type – 選擇性 – 建築物的種類，如「城堡」、「要塞」、「燃料庫」（Bunker）、「軍事基地」、「城牆」、「防線」等等。
• code – 選擇性 – the location or facility code, such as the ILC or ILK code.
• built – 建築物建造日期，通常寫年份即可。
• builder – 選擇性 – 負責建造建築物的人或是團體。
• materials – 選擇性 – 建築物建造的材料。
• height – 選擇性 – 建築物的高度，使用在相關建築物，如高塔。
• used – 建築物使用在軍事用途的期間，通常寫年份即可。
• demolished – 選擇性 – 建築物毀壞的日期。
• condition – 選擇性 – 建築物的現況。
• ownership – 選擇性 – 建築物現在的擁有者。
• open_to_public – 選擇性 – 建築物目前是否有開放給一般大眾，填「是」或「否」就可以。
• controlledby – 選擇性 – 控制建築物的國家或是其他力量。如果有多個力量，可以分別加上其控制的日期。
• garrison – 選擇性 – 建築物的駐軍。如果知道的話，可以標示各種不同單位的個別數量，而且應該要標示總數。
• current_commander – 選擇性 – 如果建築物目前還是用於軍事用途，標示目前的指揮官。
• commanders – 選擇性 – 過去曾擔任建築物指揮官的有關人物。
• occupants – 選擇性 – 過去曾占領這個建築物的有關人物，非建築物指揮官。
• battles – 選擇性 – 發生於建築物或是與建築物有關的戰役。
• events – 選擇性 – 發生於建築物或是與建築物有關的非戰役事件。
