欧文·约翰逊
欧文·麦克卢尔·约翰逊（Irving McClure Johnson，1905年7月4日—1991年1月2日）是一位美国作家、演讲家、冒险家和航海培训先驱。

约翰逊从小进行海上生活的训练，在家里的庭院里爬杆，读摔跤手的故事和杰克·伦敦和约瑟夫·康拉德的小说。约翰逊长大后成为了专业水手，在夏天作为各种游艇的船员和船长，其中包括西联汇款的主席纽科姆·卡尔顿（Newcomb Carlton）的“夏米安”。1929年，他驾驶“北京”绕过了好望角。
在担任“Wanderbird”的助手的时候，约翰逊认识了他未来的妻子。1932年，他与伊莱克特· “艾克斯”·约翰逊（Electa "Exy" Johnson）结婚。1934年到1958年期间约翰逊夫妇7次环绕世界，他们一共驾驶过三艘船，船名均为“杨基”（Yankee）。每一次他们都带上一个新船员，耗时约18个月。第一艘是北海领航船，为纵帆船，环绕世界三次后在二战前1941年被卖出。第二艘于1946年买入，是一艘德国的北海领航船，为双桅帆船。最后一艘“杨基”是唯一的专为约翰逊夫妇建造的船只，为钢铁架构，适合欧洲内河河道航行，由欧文·约翰逊和奥林·斯蒂芬斯（Olin Stephens）设计。[1]
在他们的航海生涯中，约翰逊夫妇的很多文章、书籍、国家地理和其他节目制作的视频记录了他们的旅程。带着一位业余的船员，他们旅行了几十万英里，穿过巴拿马运河到达南太平洋的岛屿、东南亚的港口、绕过好望角，回到格洛斯特，在长达18个月里没有发生任何事故。这种旅行他们进行了不止一次，而是七次。
洛杉矶海事研究所（Los Angeles Maritime Institute）上桅帆青年项目（TopSail Youth program）的两艘姊妹旗舰船以他们的名字命名为“欧文·约翰逊”和“艾克斯·约翰逊”。2000年2月17日，双桅帆船项目就在加利福尼亚圣佩德罗核心地区，LAMI停车场启动。2002年4月27日下水，2003年3月28日交付。[2]2005年3月21日，“欧文·约翰逊”在美国加利福尼亚州奥克斯纳德海峡群岛港入口附近搁浅。所有船员和乘客被都安全获救，船只在海滩上搁浅数日。[3]由于损害严重并进水，船只进行了大修并与2006年初恢复服务。
