ex是EXtended的简称，是Unix系统上的纯文字编辑器。
最早的ex是源自Unix上的ed，附在柏克莱软件套件（Berkeley Software Distribution）内。ex很类似ed，但使用上有更多的人性化选项。
选项开关[编辑]
ex可以识别如下参数开关：
- -（obsolete）suppresses user-interactive feedback
- -s（XPG4 only）suppresses user-interactive feedback
- -l sets lisp editor option
- -r recover specified files after a system crash
- -R设置成只读
- -t tag Edit the file containing the specified tag
- -v调用可视模式（vi）
- -w设置窗口大小n
- -x设置加密模式
- -C 加密选项
- file指定编辑文件
