威廉·卑特
威廉·卑特（William Thornton Bate，1820年—1857年12月29日）英国皇家海军军官、水文测量师。
生平[编辑]
第二次鸦片战争中进攻广州时战死，死后葬于跑马地香港坟场。卑特被视为基督教的英雄，他的事迹载于《陆军和海军中的基督教英雄》（Christian heroes in the army and navy）当中。英国波特西（Portsea）圣安教堂[1]和香港圣约翰座堂都有他的纪念碑。[2]
加拿大卑诗省温哥华岛的卑特山（Mount Bate）可能以他命名。[3]
