缨尾目（学名：Thysanura），又称为总尾目，现在已被赞成不使用此目，野生种类的石蛃科 Machilidae 和 Meinerellidae 过去被划为缨尾目，现在它们有了自己的目—石蛃目（学名：Archaeognatha），以及衣鱼目（学名：Zygentoma）。 现今缨尾目已不再被认可，但此名称仍然会出现在一些出版材料中。[1]
