泰坦鳥（學名Titanis）或泰坦恐鶴是一屬非常大及不能飛的肉食性鳥類，其名字是以古希臘神話奧林匹斯十二主神之前的神明泰坦來命名，意謂其巨大的身型。泰坦鳥屬下只有一種，稱為「泰坦巨鳥」（T. walleri），是紀念完模標本的發現者Benjamin I. Waller。牠生存於490-180萬年前的北美洲，在美國科羅拉多州及德克薩斯州都有發現其化石。估計牠們直至15000年前才滅絕^[2]，但更準確的估計是最少於180萬年前就已經滅絕了。^[3]^[1]泰坦鳥是屬於巨大及不能飛的駭鳥，在分支中屬較年輕的物種。身高可達 2.5米（8英尺2英寸），體重則約 150公斤（330英磅）^[4]。

泰坦鳥估計約高 1.4至2.5米（4英尺7英寸至8英尺2英寸）及重 150公斤（330英磅），但差異較大，故牠們有可能是兩性異形。^[5]雖然未有發現牠的頭顱骨，但從其近親可以肯定它是很大，且有像斧頭的鳥嘴。

牠的雙翼細小，故不可能用來飛翔，相反有一對爪可以用來抓住獵物^[6]，然而在之後的研究發現，泰坦鳥的前肢構造與牠們現存的近親叫鶴科（泰坦鳥、恐鶴、叫鶴均屬於叫鶴目）十分雷同，但叫鶴的前肢並不具有爪，因此泰坦鳥的前肢可能其實並不具有可以抓握獵物的爪^[7]。

整體而言，泰坦鳥非常近似牠們在南美洲的近親：恐鶴及 Devincenzia（英語：Devincenzia），但擁有較粗短的脖子，以及較為粗壯的身體。就牠的遺骸所知甚少，只知道比 Devincenzia 的腳窄，但中趾則按比例較大。^[8]

泰坦鳥為肉食性，但可能多半以當時的小型哺乳動物為食^[9]，包括荷氏獸屬、雕獸屬、馬、貘、水豚等。
