大葉草目又名洋二仙草目，是一類顯花植物，是2003年的《APG II 分類法》新分出來的一個目，共包含有兩個可以合併的科。[1][2]
在APG III 分類法和APG IV 分類法中，本目依然包含此兩科。[3][4]
在1981年的《克朗奎斯特分類法》中，大葉草科被分到小二仙草目中，而摺扇葉科被分到金縷梅目中。
