降解體

降解體(Degradosome)是存在於大多數細菌中的一種多亞基蛋白質複合物,其功能為參與核糖體RNA的加工以及信使RNA的降解,[1][2]故又可稱為RNA降解體

發現[編輯]

1994年,瑞士日內瓦大學的Henry Krisch所領導的實驗室和英國劍橋大學的Christopher Higgins所領導的實驗室分別發表文章提出了細菌中存在着一種可以降解RNA的蛋白質複合物,也就是降解體;[3][4][5]他們是在對大腸桿菌的RNase E和PNPase的研究和鑑定過程中得到這一發現。[1]

組成[編輯]

降解體的主要成分為核糖核酸酶E(RNase E)、多核苷酸磷酸化酶(PNPase)、RNase螺旋酶B(RhlB)和烯醇酶(enolase)。[6][7]
