雅各布·林博·托曼（希伯來語：יעקב טלמון，英語：Jacob Leib Talmon，1916年6月14日—1980年6月16日），中文名又譯作雅各布·塔爾蒙 ，[1]生於波蘭庫亞維-波美拉尼亞省雷平，著名現代史學者與哲學家，曾任耶路撒冷希伯來大學教授。因為他反對馬克思主義的立場，被認為是冷戰時期的自由主義份子。他曾經提出過極權主義民主學說。他認為，讓-雅克·盧梭的是「極權主義民主」的始作俑者，此種政治哲學理念認為「個體只有追求和實現絕對的集體目的才能實現真正的自由」。
人物生平[編輯]
1916年，托曼生于波蘭林平一個正統猶太家庭，1934年求學於耶路撒冷希伯來大學。隨後留學法國，隨着納粹入侵，他不得不趕赴倫敦。
1943年獲得倫敦政治經濟學院博士學位，其主要作品有《極權主義民主的起源》、《政治彌賽亞：浪漫階段》以及《民族的神話及革命的意象》等。
第三次中東戰爭之後，托曼與阿諾爾德·約瑟夫·湯因比就猶太人和錫安主義在歷史進程中的角色和地位問題展開激烈討論。[2]
