2012年7月18日在保加利亞布爾加斯的布爾加斯機場附近發生了一起自殺式炸彈襲擊事件。[1][2]被炸車輛裝載了42名以色列人，且以年輕人為主，[3]這些乘客來自特拉維夫，乘坐Air VIA的航班，抵達機場後正趕往旅館。[4]這次爆炸造成包括自殺式襲擊者和大巴司機在內的共7人死亡，至少32人受傷，引起國際關注。

爆炸發生在黑海名勝布爾加斯的機場附近。這是一個有約200,000居民的城市，距離保加利亞首都索菲亞東約400千米。爆炸共造成7人死亡，至少32人受傷。[12][13][14][15][16][17]另有兩輛巴士在在爆炸中受損。[11][18]

保加利亞領導人，包括總統羅森·普列夫內利耶夫在內，立即趕赴事發地點。外交部表示，官方確認這是一次恐怖襲擊。[19]

受傷的乘客包括一名11歲的孩子，兩名懷孕的婦女。[20]保加利亞的巴士司機在此次爆炸中身亡。[1]爆炸的倖存者描述，爆炸時人被衝擊力拋入空中，看到屍體的碎片，人們哭喊與尖叫。目擊者稱，爆炸開始於車輛頭部，之後車輛迅速着火。一些乘客從窗戶跳出車輛來逃生。[21]
