约翰·克罗森

约翰·克罗森（John Dominic Crossan，1934—），爱尔兰裔美国人，著名新约圣经学者，耶稣研究会创办人之一。

克罗森出生于爱尔兰蒂珀雷里。1950年加入天主教圣母忠仆会，后来到美国。1957年受封成为修士。返回爱尔兰，于1959年获爱尔兰国立St. Patrick's College Maynooth博士学位。又到罗马Pontifical Biblical Institute修习圣经语文。1965又在东耶路撒冷École Biblique研究考古学。

他在伊利诺伊州Mundelein的St. Mary of the Lake神学院教学一年，以及芝加哥的Catholic Theological Union教学一年之后，克罗森决定脱离教士生涯，1969年夏天与罗耀拉大学教授Margaret Dagenais结婚，并在1969年秋季加入DePaul大学，开始长达25年的比较宗教教学生涯。

1985年克罗森与Robert Funk创立了耶稣研究会(Jesus Seminar)，号召学者专门研究历史性耶稣。
