马来食蜗龟（学名：Malayemys macrocephala ；英文：Malayan snail-eating turtle），亦名马来食螺龟、马来龟，地龟科食蜗龟属的一种。[1][2]
特征[编辑]
马来食蜗龟的背甲呈棕色，每块盾甲较近尾部的边缘会有黑斑，而四周的小盾甲会呈白色，低甲低色为白色，每块盾甲亦有黑斑。幼龟背甲会有三条明显的脊棱，随着年龄增长慢慢消失。龟只头部呈黑色，并有多条白色斑纹。四肢的皮肤均为黑色。
习性[编辑]
马来食蜗龟喜欢生活在水流缓慢的水域，属杂食性水龟，由于上下颚较其他龟强而有力，因此可以轻易咬碎螺、蜗牛等水生生物，偶然也会进食昆虫、植物。
分布[编辑]
主要分布于柬埔寨、缅甸、马来西亚西部、泰国东南部及中部等东南亚地区。
保育状况[编辑]
其被列为《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》附录二的物种，被限制出口及贸易。
