鹲（学名：Phaethontidae，英文名：Tropicbird），一般通称热带鸟，为生活于热带地区的一群海鸟。属名在希腊神话中意指法厄同（Φαέθων，太阳神阿波罗之子），可能是因为具有绕着太阳飞之习性的关系[1]。

就分类上来说，鹲的分类地位至今仍不明确，包括：

此外早期的研究表示，鹲与鹱属于远亲关系[3]，然而，近年的分子研究显示，就血缘方面来说，鹲与鹱并不具亲缘关系[4][5][6][7]；
而鹲科下有三属，现存一属三种，分类如下：

特征[编辑]
鹲的中央尾羽极为细长；体型中等（体长 76 至 102 公分，翼展约 94 至 112 公分之间）；体色大致为白色，脸、背与双翼皆具有黑斑。
