黑额鹦鹉（Cyanoramphus zealandicus），又名红额鹦鹉，是大溪地特有及已灭绝的鹦鹉。其当地名称的意思是“数量很多的鹦鹉”。[2]
发现历史[编辑]
黑额鹦鹉是于1769年詹姆斯·库克的第一次旅程中发现，所采集的三个标本有两个现正存放在利物浦，一个则在特灵的沃尔特·罗思柴尔德动物学博物馆。然而，利物浦的其中一个及特灵的标本可能是在1773年库克第二次旅程中采集的。另一个标本是于1842年]采集，现正存放在佩皮尼昂。最后已知的标本是于1844年采集，现正存放在巴黎的国立自然历史博物馆。
灭绝[编辑]
黑额鹦鹉像社会岛鹦鹉般生活在林地。虽然面对伐林及波利尼西亚鼠等掠食者，它们仍能生存下来。不过它们却不敌入侵的大家鼠及野猫，并且消失得很快。
