克丘亞語(西班牙語:Quechua,或譯蓋丘亞語),又稱奇楚瓦語奇楚瓦語Qhichwa shimi / Runa Shimi),是南美洲原住民的一種語言。克丘亞語對自己的語言稱呼為Runa Simi,runa意為「人」,simi意為「語」。該語言為印加帝國官方語言,也常稱其為印加語

現狀[編輯]

克丘亞語使用者在秘魯的分布

1975年,秘魯成為第一個承認克丘亞語為其官方語言的國家。[2]厄瓜多在其2006年憲法中賦予該語言官方地位,2009年玻利維亞通過了一項新憲法,承認克丘亞語和其他幾種土著語言為該國的官方語言。[3]

克丘亞語族的使用和教學的主要障礙是缺乏書籍、報紙、軟體和雜誌等語言的書面材料。聖經已被翻譯成克丘亞語,並由某些傳教團體分發。克丘亞語同艾馬拉語和其它小土著語言一樣,基本上仍然是一種口語。

近年來,克丘亞語被引入玻利維亞厄瓜多秘魯跨文化雙語教育英語Intercultural_bilingual_education(Intercultural Bilingual Education,IBE)。 即使在這些地區,政府也只能接觸到克丘亞母語人口的一部分。為了社會進步,每個國家的一些土著人民正在讓他們的孩子學習西班牙語。[4]

秘魯國家廣播電台西班牙語Radio Nacional del Perú每天早上用克丘亞語播放新聞和農業節目。

克丘亞語和西班牙語目前在安第斯地區的大部分地區大量混合,在克丘亞語中有數百個西班牙語借詞。同樣,西班牙語使用者常常使用克丘亞語短語和單詞。例如,在玻利維亞南部的農村地區,許多克丘亞語,如 wawa(嬰兒)、misi(貓),waska(帶子或捶打),與他們的西班牙對應詞一樣常用,甚至在完全講西班牙語的地區也是如此。克丘亞語也對美洲其他本土語言產生了深遠的影響,例如馬普切語[來源請求]

語言使用者數量[編輯]

根據不同的消息來源,語言使用者差別很大。「民族語言」16中的總數為1000萬,主要基於1987至2002年公布的數字,但有一些可追溯到20世紀60年代。例如,「民族語言」中的因巴布拉高原克丘亞語(Imbabura Highland Quechua)使用者數字是30萬,這是1977年的估計數。

另一方面,傳教組織FEDEPI估計有100萬因巴布拉(Imbabura)方言使用者(2006年發布)。由於報告不足,人口普查數據也存在問題。2001年厄瓜多人口普查報告只有50萬名克丘亞語使用者,而大多數語言學來源的估計數字超過200萬。秘魯(2007年)和玻利維亞(2001年)的人口普查被認為更可靠。

語系分類[編輯]

克丘亞語有許多「方言」,有時被看成彼此相關但獨立的語言,情況有點類似漢語。克丘亞語的各「方言」(或是獨立但彼此相關的語言)自成一個語系——克丘亞語系(Quechuan languages)。這些語言分布在阿根廷玻利維亞巴西智利哥倫比亞厄瓜多秘魯等地方。克丘亞語在玻利維亞有等同西班牙語艾瑪拉語的全國性官方語言的地位,根據SIL頁面存檔備份,存於網際網路檔案館)的資料,在玻利維亞有官方地位的克丘亞語為北玻利維亞克丘亞語(North Bolivian Quechua)(1978年有116,483人)與南玻利維亞克丘亞語(South Bolivian Quechua)(1987年有3,637,500人)。另外克丘亞語在秘魯、哥倫比亞及厄瓜多的一些地區有地方性的官方語言的地位。以各種克丘亞語為第一語言的使用人口總計有960萬人,使用各種克丘亞語的人口總計有1400萬人。

語言形態[編輯]

克丘亞語的型態為綜合語黏著語。克丘亞語是高度規則的語言,有許多的中綴和後綴可以細微地或完全地改變詞意,因此可以做出細緻的表達。詞的重音與語調不具有辨意的功能。克丘亞語有三個元音/a/、/i/、/u/。克丘亞語一般來說有十六個輔音,塞音的有聲或無聲除了從西班牙語借來的詞以外通常沒有辨意的功能。但是一些克丘亞方言(如庫斯科方言)裡的塞音分成三套:不送氣塞音、送氣塞音、緊喉音,而同一個部位的不同塞音有辨意的功能。有人認為這是受到艾瑪拉語所影響而形成的現象。

語系演進[編輯]

現代認為克丘亞語約於西元前2600年左右起源於秘魯的卡拉爾(Caral)地區。在庫斯科的印加皇帝將克丘亞語作為官方語言,克丘亞語也隨著印加帝國在第十四世紀的擴張而成了秘魯地區的通用語。到了十六世紀西班牙征服者的時代,克丘亞語已經擴及南美洲的許多地方了。在印加帝國之後,由於天主教教會選擇克丘亞語作為向安地斯山脈地區的美洲原住民傳教的語言,使得克丘亞語的使用地區超出了原本印加帝國的範圍。

克丘亞語約有三分之一的詞彙與艾瑪拉語近似,因此有人主張克丘亞語與艾瑪拉語屬於一個更大的克丘馬拉(Quechumaran)語系,但是這個主張仍有爭議。雖然克丘亞語與艾瑪拉語有許多同源詞,但是兩者的詞綴系統卻沒什麼關係,因此兩者之間的相似性可能是由於長期接觸造成的,而不是因為有相同的起源。

在西班牙征服者帶來拉丁字母之前,克丘亞語沒有書寫的文字,而是以一種叫奇普的結繩記事的工具來記事。奇普庫斯科方言裡就是繩結的意思。

詞彙[編輯]

一些克丘亞語借詞通過西班牙語輸入英語,包括 coca古柯)、condor神鷲)、guano海鳥糞)、jerky肉乾)、llama大羊駝)、pampa平原)、poncho(披風)、puma美洲獅)、quinine奎寧)、quinoa藜麥)、vicuña小羊駝),以及還可能包括 gaucho(高喬人)。 單詞 lagniappe 來源於克丘亞語詞彙 yapay(增加),在前面添加了西班牙語的定冠詞 la,在西班牙語中為 la yapala ñapa

對拉丁美洲西班牙語的影響包括這些借詞,papa(馬鈴薯),chuchaqui(宿醉)在厄瓜多。還有對"高原反應"的變化借詞,在玻利維亞從克丘亞語 suruqch'i 成為 sorojchi,在厄瓜多秘魯soroche.

一個罕見的借詞,西班牙語使用 carpa 作為「帳篷」(克丘亞語:karpa)。[8]

特別是在玻利維亞,一些克丘亞語詞甚至被非克丘亞語使用者廣泛使用。包括 wawa(孩子,嬰兒),ch'aki(宿醉),misi(貓),juk'ucho(鼠),q'omer uchu(青椒),jacu(我們走),chhiri 和 chhurco(捲曲的頭髮)等等。克丘亞語語法也進入了玻利維亞西班牙語,如使用 -ri 後綴。在玻利維亞克丘亞語中,-ri 添加到動詞後以表示動作是用感情執行的或是在祈使句中作為一個粗略的等同於請。在玻利維亞 -ri 常在西班牙語祈使句中暗示「請」或柔化命令。例如,標準的「pásame」(遞給我)變成了「pasarime」。

克丘亞語詞中借用了大量的西班牙語詞,如 pirupero,但是)、bwenubueno,好)、iskwila(escuela,學校),waka(vaca,母牛)和burruburro,驢)。[9]

克丘亞的詞源[編輯]

最初,西班牙人將印加帝國的語言稱為「lengua general」,即「通用語言」。Quichua這個名稱的第一次使用是在1560年多明戈德聖托馬斯英語Domingo de Santo Tomás在他的《秘魯王國印第安人的一般語言語法或藝術》[10] 目前尚不清楚母語人士在殖民時代之前給他們的語言提供了什麼名稱,以及西班牙人是否稱之為「克丘亞語」。[10]

克丘亞(Quechua)作為語言的名稱可能有兩種詞源:這個名字有可能來源於*qiĉ.wa,這個本土詞最初是指安第斯山脈的「溫帶山谷」海拔生態區(適合玉米種植)及其居民。[10]

另一種說法,早期的西班牙編年史學家佩德羅·希耶薩·德里昂英語Pedro Cieza de Leon印卡·加西拉索·德拉維加提到,在現在的阿普里馬克地區存在一個名為「Quichua」的人,並且可以推斷出他們的名字被賦予了整個語言。[10]

自17世紀在秘魯和玻利維亞,特別是在利馬第三屆理事會英語Third Council of Lima之後,該詞被西班牙語化拼寫為「Quechua」和「Quichua」。現今「Quechua Simi」的發音變體包括:/ˈqʰeʃwa ˈsimi//ˈχetʃwa ˈʃimi//ˈkitʃwa ˈʃimi/以及/ˈʔitʃwa ˈʃimi/

母語人士給他們自己的語言有另外的名字「Runa Simi」,意思是「人的語言」。它似乎也在殖民時期出現過。[10]
