歐洲綠啄木鳥（學名：Picus viridis） ，為鳥綱啄木鳥科綠啄木鳥屬的一個種。分布於歐洲、西亞地區。其種加詞「viridis」意為「綠色的」。
特徵[編輯]
歐洲綠啄木鳥體長30–36厘米，翼展 45–51厘米。歐洲綠啄木鳥背部羽毛為綠色，腹部為淺黃色；眼端為黑色（伊比利亞亞種例外）；雄鳥頭部有紅冠，雌鳥則為全黑色。雛鳥全身布滿斑點及條紋。[2]
分類[編輯]
啄木鳥科綠啄木鳥屬。卡爾·林奈於1758年首次描述該種。學名Picus viridis中的「pikos」來源於希臘語，意為「啄木鳥」，「viridis」來源於拉丁文，意為「綠色」。[3]
歐洲綠啄木鳥有4個亞種，分別為[4]：
- P. v. viridis，分布於歐洲南部至法國。
- P. v. karelini，分布於義大利、東南歐、小亞細亞、伊朗北部、土庫曼斯坦西南部。
- P. v. sharpei，分布於伊比利亞半島北部。
- P. v. innominatus，分布於伊朗西南部與南部。[5]
分布[編輯]
歐洲綠啄木鳥分布區域的75%位於歐洲。
生活習性[編輯]
歐洲綠啄木鳥大部分情況下以螞蟻為食，很少啄食樹木中的蛀蟲，這點不同於其他啄木鳥。歐洲綠啄木鳥在樹上築巢。1次產卵4至6枚，19–20後孵化。[4]
