2009年太平洋颱風季對菲律賓的影響是幾十年來最嚴重的。在這年中，有一系列的颱風影響了菲律賓。最嚴重的是九月的颱風凱薩娜和十月的颱風芭瑪。

熱帶低氣壓 Auring是第一個在2009年西北太平洋所形成的熱帶氣旋。它導致了棉蘭老島在一月發生了暴雨和洪水，迫使38764人疏散到避難所家園。在洪水沖毀 294房屋，造成2人死亡，並造成9人失踪。[1][2][3] 由於Auring造成的危險條件下，約12211人留在港口滯留。另外14輛卡車，44輛輕型客車，75輛巴士，27艘和295箱流動貨櫃滯留。[4]另有305間房屋被毀和610間房屋受損。此外，估計大約有53公頃（130.9畝）的大米和3.5公頃（8.6畝）的玉米被毀壞。大約有43581人被Auring影響[5]，經濟損失達到2300萬披索($498318 美元)。[6]
在2月14日，熱帶低氣壓 Bising的殘餘雲帶橫過了呂宋的南部，比科爾和維薩亞斯群島後便隨即消散。降雨導致了Cebu Island發生了泥石流，並阻塞了當地的公路。[7][8]另外，熱帶低氣壓 Crising導致了暴雨，令到當地發生嚴重水沉，大約2500人受災。最嚴重的水災發生在盧塞納，有十條村莊被洪水孤立。沿著Bucon和Inalmasinan River的地方被淹沒，蒙受了巨大的作物損失，據說在該地區的動物都被淹死。洪水導致了多條道路被切斷或山體滑坡。有一條在梅塞德斯的橋被摧毀。[9]
