唇化变体
[编辑]瓦努阿图的一些语言中存在有唇化的唇软腭鼻音[ŋ͡mʷ]。在班克斯群島的部分语言中，该音的正寫法为⟨m̄⟩，即在m上添加一个长音符号。在瓦努阿图南部的一些语言（如南埃法特语）中则在m上添加一个波浪號，写作m̃。
