木鼻白蟻科（Stylotermitidae）親緣關係介於木白蟻科和鼻白蟻科之間，為過渡類群。舊時曾被歸於鼻白蟻科之下[1][2]。本科之下共包含三個屬分別為原木鼻白蟻屬 (Prostylotermes )、似木鼻白蟻屬 (Parastylotermes )、及木鼻白蟻屬 (Stylotermes )，其中木鼻白蟻屬是唯一現存的屬，另外兩屬已滅絕[3]。

木鼻白蟻科包含三個屬：
- 木鼻白蟻屬 Stylotermes Holmgren, 1917
- †似木鼻白蟻屬 Parastylotermes Snyder & Emerson, 1949
- †原木鼻白蟻屬 Prostylotermes Engel & Grimaldi, 2011
物種概述[编辑]
木鼻白蟻屬共有46種，其中一種僅記錄無正式描述[1][3]，分布於東亞及東南亞地區，包含孟加拉、印度、中國、馬來西亞、台灣等地。
除分子生物學證據顯示其親緣關係介於木白蟻科與鼻白蟻科外，其形態特徵也介於兩者之間，木鼻白蟻屬的兵蟻形態接近木白蟻科，但其擁有鼻白蟻科有，而木白蟻科沒有的特徵：窗點 (fontanelle)[1]。
