毛里裘斯隼（Falco punctatus）是毛里裘斯特有的一種猛禽，分佈在西南部的森林、山崖及峽谷。[2]可能是於上新世晚期的杰拉阶獨自演化成特有的物種。[3]

毛里裘斯隼長26-30.5厘米，重250克。雄鳥較雌鳥稍為細小。翼展45厘米，雙翼較圓。[2]飼養下牠們的壽命約有15年。牠們會在森林內獵食，主要吃壁虎、蜻蜓、蟬、蟑螂及細小的鳥類。[2]
保育狀況[编辑]
毛里裘斯隼在毛里裘斯殖民前的數量就只有175-325對，可能是因伐林及颱風的影響。最嚴重的衰落是於1950年代及1960年代間，因大量使用滴滴涕及如貓、獴及長尾獼猴等入侵物種的掠食所致。牠們最近親的留尼旺隼亦於1700年滅絕。
於1974年，毛里裘斯隼的數量只餘下4隻，當時是世界上最稀有的鳥類。复育計劃於是展開，最初的嘗試都是失敗的，直至於1979年成功人工孵化雛鳥後，牠們的數量才逐步回升。牠們的數量已超過800隻，數量仍在上升，估計其棲息地仍可以容納多50-150隻。[4]。世界自然保護聯盟自1994年就將牠們的狀況降級為易危。[1]
