黄金太阳 失落的时代》(日语:黄金の太陽 失われし時代,英语:Golden Sun: The Lost Age)是角色扮演游戏黄金太阳系列的第二作,游戏由Camelot开发,任天堂发行。游戏首发于2002年,和前作《黄金太阳 开启的封印》一样,都运行于任天堂Game Boy Advance平台。玩家可通过输入密码或用两台GBA连机传输来继承《开启的封印》中的人物道具数据,以便更完美的完成所有游戏剧情[2]

游戏延续了前作的剧情,在《失落的时代》中,玩家将扮演炼金术士加西亚,并为让炼金术重回维亚德而带队旅行。在旅途中,玩家可以用精神力打败敌人、发现新地点、帮助当地的居民,并捕捉元素精灵提高队伍的实力。

游戏一经发布就受到广大媒体的赞扬。虽然很多媒体都认为游戏逊于前作《开启的封印》,但在IGN的排名中,游戏排在2003年Game Boy Advance游戏的第8名,以及及全Game Boy Advance游戏的第22名。

游戏玩法[编辑]

和前作一样,《失落的时代》也遵循了如今角色扮演游戏的惯例。玩家操控着主角一队环游于奇幻世界中,与其他角色交谈,同怪物战斗,习得更强大的魔法,获得更好的装备,并到达预定的地点完成任务。虽然《失落的时代》中有很多必须完成的剧情任务,但玩家仍然可以自由决定一些任务的完成顺序。前作中,有些任务需要在后期返回曾今去过的地方完成,而本作中这种任务又更多了[3]

游戏的多数时间并非花在战斗上,而是用在世界地图或地道、山洞等各种迷宫中。与前作不同,在《开启的封印》中玩家只用步行便可探索世界,而本作的世界则更为广袤,玩家需要乘坐能飞翔的魔法大船穿越海洋,方能访问一些城镇与岛屿[4]。为了解开谜局,玩家们或要将柱子推到两块高地之间以架起桥梁,或要在悬崖间爬上爬下,还要为推动剧情而拿到特殊的道具。在解谜的过程中,魔法——即精神力——起着举足轻重的作用;为了完成任务,玩家可能要寻找并装备相应的精神力道具,以习得该的精神力[5][6]

不像很多角色扮演游戏的魔法只能用于战斗的攻防,精神力的另一重要用途就是解谜与探索地图[5]。一些精神力只能用于战斗,而另有一些却只能用在迷宫与地图等非战斗场景中。但还有的精神力则可兼用于两者,如“冰冻”精神力既能在战斗中创伤敌人,还能将水坑的水冻成冰柱。精神力源自四大元素:地(岩石与植物)、火(火与热)、风(风与电)、水(水与冰)。随着游戏的进展,玩家可以通过升级或是装备道具来习得更多精神力,并需要依靠它们到达新地点和探索隐藏要素。一些迷宫在前期会由于缺乏精神力而无法解开,它们可以在后期习得相应的精神力后解决[7]

《失落的时代》包括随机战和为推动剧情而必须应对的BOSS[3]。当一场战斗打响后,全屏的战斗画面将会显示对峙而立的玩家和敌方两队。战斗进行时主角和背景将以伪3D效果轮流旋转。

《失落的时代》的战斗设定遵照了角色扮演游戏的惯例。在战斗中,玩家需要用多种方法击败敌人,如使用武器攻击,发动攻击性精神力等;在而攻击的同时,玩家还要用各种方法保持生命力,如使用道具,发动支援系精神力复活队员,亦可以执行防御[8]。当所有角色生命值都为0时,战斗即为失败,队伍将在自动返回最近去过的村庄并扣除金钱。战斗胜利后,玩家会得到经验值和金币,偶尔还能够捡到道具[9]

除了剧情模式外,玩家还可以从游戏载入菜单中进入对战模式,并可以通过选择剧情模式存档来载入战斗队伍。玩家可以和电脑控制的强敌作战,也可以和其他玩家联机对战。而不论对手是谁,玩家都不会获得经验和金币[10]

精灵系统[编辑]

《黄金太阳 失落的时代》的一大特色就是搜集与操控一种叫“精灵”的元素产物。本作中增加了许多精灵,它们分散隐藏在游戏世界的各处。《失落的时代》中四元素精灵各有11只(不包括在《开启的封印》中登场的精灵)可供玩家分配。精灵的搭配会影响到游戏角色的能力,附身的精灵还会改变主角掌握的精神力。当精灵附身时,角色的职业,最高HP、精神力值等能力值和所掌握精神力会发生改变,不同的精灵对各个角色产生的影响也不尽相同[11]

已经捉到的精灵可以在角色间分配,精灵有附身、待命或是恢复这几种状态。被附身角色的职业、能力和所掌握的精神力由人物元素属性和附身精灵共同决定。在战斗中,玩家可以让角色在回合中施放精灵,而精灵独有的特效这时就会起作用。这些特效包括强力的元素攻击,发动增益减益效果和治愈等[11]。精灵在施放后状态会转为待命;此时,精灵不再影响主角的职业,但可以用来召唤强大的元素之神——召唤兽[12]。神兽的威力最为强大,却也并存着风险,召唤需要有精灵处于待命状态,而精灵却只有在附身时才会提升主角能力。一旦附身精灵被用来召唤,其必须休息几个回合才能重新附身主角[12]。《失落的时代》共有29种召唤兽:16种前作出现的召唤兽和13种新召唤,新的召唤往往藏在迷宫中,需要完成不同的任务方能获得[13]

本作四元素精灵共72只,可以任意的平均分给8名主角,多样的分配方式形成了繁多的职业搭配,从而有了不同的战斗方案[13]

世界观[编辑]

和前作一样,《失落的时代》也发生在一个叫“维亚德”的奇幻世界中。这个巨大的世界环境和地球相似,但却采用了古老的地平说。海洋之水源源不竭从世界边缘落下的传说流传已久,然而却无人知晓深渊的尽头是什么[14][15]。而在游戏的最后可得知维亚德最北方是漆黑的虚空。在游戏中玩家会穿行过许多大陆、岛屿,还将遨游于包围前作两块大陆的海洋,维亚德的万物都由地水火风四元素构成[16],而炼金术士可以则操控这些元素[17]

角色[编辑]

游戏的多时间中,玩家可以控制四名角色。加西亚是海迪亚村的18岁地元素使,虽然他在前作《开启的封印》中是反派,但于本作中成为了新的主人公[17]。他总是少言寡语,除非在关键的剧情时才说“…”“!”或“为什么?”。他的妹妹加丝敏是海迪亚的17岁地元素使,和14岁女风元素是西芭[17] 及睿智的老学者斯库莱塔一起,成为了已亡前作反派火元素战士萨帝罗斯和梅娜蒂的人质[18]。在游戏中玩家将扮演加西亚,并完成萨帝罗斯和梅娜蒂让炼金术重回维亚德的既定任务,而早先加入的神秘水元素使皮卡德则用船搭载加西亚一行旅行并探索世界[17]

有几个队伍在《失落的时代》中和加西亚处于对立状态。前作的英雄,年轻的地元素使罗宾曾认为炼金术的解放将会毁灭世界,故而满世界的追寻加西亚[19]。另一是萨帝罗斯的前同伴,强大而神秘的水元素使阿历克斯,他现在和强壮的火元素战士喀斯特和阿加迪奥搭档中。他们强迫加西亚为其服务[17]

剧情[编辑]

前作中,反派萨帝罗斯和梅娜蒂在战斗中被主角罗宾杀死[20],但他们已经在不久之前点燃了维亚德四座元素灯塔中的两座[21]。现在萨帝罗斯队伍剩下的人以加西亚为首继续完成既定的任务——点燃剩下的两座灯塔,让强大的炼金术重回维亚德[21]。加西亚一行乘坐新伙伴皮卡德的船出海,在被罗宾追寻的同时继续完成伟大的任务[22]

终于,加西亚一行得以进入了雷姆利亚——位于东海中心如亚特兰蒂斯般的圣地[23]。在和雷姆利亚国王海德罗的对话中,他们得知了炼金术的自然本质;炼金术乃维亚德的生命之源,随着炼金术的减少,大陆在不断缩小,世界也逐渐被黑暗吞噬[24]。明白了要想拯救世界就必须解放炼金术后,加西亚动身前去点燃木星灯塔。而当罗宾一行也追到木星灯塔时,却中了喀斯特和阿迦迪奥的陷阱,于是加西亚帮忙击退了二人[25]

加西亚终于向罗宾解释了炼金术的解放事关人人,而萨帝罗斯和梅娜蒂也只是为了拯救他们的家乡普罗可斯——一个位于北极,临近火星灯塔的村落[26]。于是加西亚和罗宾两队合一,为点燃火星灯塔向北进发[27];而当他们到达塔顶的时候,贤者出现并警告罗宾,他的任务应该是阻止解开炼金术的封印。贤者告诫道,拥有如此强大力量的人类将会自毁世界[28];而当明白罗宾执意要解开封印后,便召唤出一条巨大的三头龙来作为最后的筹码[29]

当炼金术士们杀败巨龙后,他们发现原来那是贤者把罗宾父亲和加西亚双亲变成的[30]。在短暂的悲痛之后,他们点燃了火星灯塔并完成了任务;随着四座灯塔的点燃,炼金术重新回到了维亚德,并聚集在阿尔法山的索尔神殿上。然而阿历克斯就在这里,他综合利用了每一个人,因而只需接受黄金太阳之光就可以获得炼金术的巨大力量[31]。但事不如愿,阿历克斯连同阿尔法山一起沉入了地底[32]。而炼金术士们的父母就像贤者预料的那样,被炼金术的回归救活了[33]。而他们也认为贤者看似残忍的诡计其实是在测试这些炼金术士的觉醒,看他们能否担当一个新的责任:保护重新回归的炼金术之力不被人类滥用,维亚德曾经的灾难不再重演[33]。在游戏的尾声中。炼金术士和家人回到了家乡海迪亚,发现这里已经被重生的炼金术之力毁灭了,然而由于贤者提前预告了危险,家人和村民都免于灾难。

开发[编辑]

《失落的时代》于2002年在日本首发,《Fami通》杂志首先做出了评论[34]。游戏受到了玩家的热切期待,排在了IGN 2003年“最期待”GBA游戏的榜首[35]。游戏曾在北美2002年的E3游戏展上展出[36],IGN称游戏摒弃了前作《开启的封印》中备受批评的无聊序章[37]GameSpot在2003年2月预展了一个本地化版,并评论道:游戏基于前作的图像引擎,“画面精致可感——好像一只鸟从你眼前飞过”[38]

评论者大多给予游戏正面评价,但对于本作是否好于前作《开启的封印》则观点不一。在Metacritic的汇总得分上,本作的86%[42]不如前作的91%[43];同样GameRankings的87%[44]也略低于《开启的封印》的90%[45]。而与此不同,在IGN读者票选游戏前一百名中,本作的第78位领先于前作[46]。本作排在《任天堂力量》举办的全任天堂主机最佳200游戏的第69名[47]

IGN为该续作打了高分,并做出了“游戏虽有违一般游戏续作之惯例,却仍旧是一款游戏佳作”的评价[41]。虽然游戏制作人员没有变化,但新加入的复杂迷宫却更受玩家的欢迎[41]。而游戏后来也成为了IGN 2003年4月的“月度游戏”[48]。《电子游戏月刊》的巴蒂尔·贝滕豪森认为游戏在各个方面都没能超越前作(在视觉、音效和感官上都大致和前作相当),但他也并不否认“这也同时意味着游戏是角色扮演游戏中的佳品”[39]。其他评论亦称游戏的画质和音效更为完美[49]

一些文章批评了本作仍未改掉的毛病,其中就如战斗系统。IGN和《GamePro》都认为游戏的战斗系统不够“聪明”;当预先攻击的敌人提前被杀后,其他攻击该敌人的角色就会自动防御,而非攻击其他敌人[41][50]。《GameNow》的伊桑·艾因霍恩认为战斗系统除了“必须的PRG要素”和图像外将一无是处[51]GameSpy认为Camelot需要为游戏加入更多的特色,同时也批评游戏过长的开篇对话会赶走前作的玩家,还会让新玩家把本就不熟悉的地点与人物搞混[52]

《失落的时代》在日本首周卖出了9.6万份,是当时最畅销的游戏[53]。截至2004年11月21日,游戏在日本和北美分别售出了24.9万份和43.7万份[54]
