Fuck是个常用的英语脏话词汇，常委婉地写成f--k、f*ck、f**k、f***、f—k、F-word、F-bomb、fuq、phuck，意思是性交。与官话的“肏”（ㄘㄠˋ/cào）、湖南话的“嬲”、粤语的“屌”、河南话的“尻”在中国，“肏”委婉地写作“操”[1]、闽南语泉漳话、台语的“奸”、闽南语潮汕话的“扑”、四川话的“日[2]”同义。

历史及来源[编辑]

Fuck的字源到了今时今日已变得众说纷纭，而且字义上是否从一开始就已经是具有冒犯性，还是从某个年期开始才是，亦不能查考，但至少于15世纪的英语文献中已经可以看到这个字的踪影。虽然在英语世界具有权威地位的《牛津英语词典》（Oxford English Dictionary）也认为Fuck的字源已难考究，但主张此字是源自于盎格鲁-撒克逊。

文献出处[编辑]

15世纪时有一首诗“跳蚤和苍蝇（英语：Flen flyys）”，此诗由拉丁语和英语混合写成，讽刺了英国剑桥的加尔默罗会修道士，其诗名取自第一句“Flen, flyys, and freris”，即“跳蚤，苍蝇和修道士”。有fuck一词的一行是“Non sunt in coeli, quia gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk.”其中的拉丁文“Non sunt in coeli, quia”意为“他们（指修道士们）不在天堂，因为‘gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk’”。这段后面的“gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk”显然是隐语，不过只要透过字母重映射的方法即可破译，其规则为向前回推一个字母（需注意当时的字母没有J、U和W）：

  • gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk.
↓
  • fvccant vvivys of heli.

如此一来全句变为“Non sunt in coeli, quia fvccant vvivys of heli.”意思是“他们不在天堂，因为他们‘干’了伊利的妇女。”句中的“fvccant”即为故意将“fuck”伪装成拉丁文形式，即“fvcco”的现在式第三人称复数。

可能的语源[编辑]

一本于1598年出版的字典[3]认为Fuck这个字源自拉丁文的fūtuere或古德语的ficken(现代德语中仍在使用此词)，原意是“to strike”（可作攻击、袭击、压铸等不同意思）或“to penetrate”（穿透），但在俗语（slang）却可用来暗示性交（to copulate）。著名的语源学家Eric Partridge亦指出这个德语字源自拉丁文，意思就是“pugilist, puncture, and prick”，就是刺穿的意思[4]。此外，自16世纪开始，“prick”一词在俚语中更常用来指阴茎或傻屌。
