加拉帕戈斯粉红陆鬣蜥系一种祇分布于太平洋加拉巴哥群岛伊莎贝拉岛沃尔夫火山附近约600-1700米高，只有25平方公里的范围内的鬛蜥，于2009年才被发现为异于加拉巴哥陆鬣蜥的物种[3]。
本种乃陆鬣蜥属内上唯一古代物种分化的例子[4]。它们和加拉巴哥陆鬣蜥的共同祖先自570万年前起分化[5][6]。
形态[编辑]
顾名思义，本种个体皮肤为粉红色，体长约半公尺，重约5公斤，尾长约60厘米。
保育[编辑]
本种衹有约200个体存活[2]，并受猫、黑鼠[2]和加拉帕戈斯隼威胁[2]，但由于人类难以到达其栖息地[7]，故并未受人类活动影响，却也阻碍了人类研究此物种。
