公开大学

公开大学，又称开放大学，是指那些几乎没有入学要求的大学[1]。遥距教育是公开大学常见的教育方式，不过并非所有的开公开大学都采取遥距教育方式[2]。

历史[编辑]

公开大学的历史可以追溯到1858年建立的伦敦大学外部学习系统，该大学其实是一个专门授予学位的考试委员会，任何符合其入学要求并支付学费的人都能就读，并且不限地域范围。学生可以在学习的同时继续工作。 [3][4]

欧洲第一所开放大学是开放大学是成立于1969年英国的公开大学。[5]
