鲸鱼座矮星系是一个矮椭球星系距离地球约246万光年远，它是本星系团的成员之一。而目前在鲸鱼座矮星系里较明亮恒星都是红巨星。 [1]
发现[编辑]
鲸鱼座矮星系是在1999年由爱伦·怀廷发现，而之后天文学家麦克·欧温和乔治·候发现它是本星系团的一个成员[2][3]
