新澤西理工學院（New Jersey Institute of Technology，縮寫：NJIT）是位於美國新澤西州紐華克的一所公立研究型大學，創立於1881年。[6] 該學院坐落於紐約大都會區內，距離紐華克市中心很近，距離紐約市也只有14.5公里（9.0英里），交通便捷。[7]
歷史[編輯]
1881年紐瓦克技術學校（Newark Technical School）設立，此即新澤西理工學院的前身，該學校在1884年開課。艾倫·R·卡利莫爾（Allan R. Cullimore）在1920年至1949年擔任其校長，任期內的1930年將其改為紐瓦克工程學院（Newark College of Engineering）[8]
1973年新澤西建築學校（New Jersey School of Architecture）併入該校，1975年紐瓦克工程學院改現名，以示其課程涵蓋各類理工學科。1979年蓋起第一座學生公寓「Redwood Hall」。

公共交通[編輯]
紐瓦克輕軌服務於新澤西理工校園。位於Lock Street上的Warren Street/NJIT Light Rail Station可搭乘輕軌列車前往紐瓦克賓州車站（美鐵，新澤西捷運和PATH地鐵的樞紐），僅僅耗時四分種。輕軌站位於地下，出入口在Lock Street兩側，前往賓州車站的入口位於街道西側（Wellness and Events Center體育館對面），前往Grove St的站台入口位於街道東側（Wellness and Events Center體育館那一側）。
