核形蟲是一類原生生物^[1]，具有絲狀偽足,生活在土壤和淡水裡。它們與同樣具有絲狀偽足的vampyrellid形態上非常相似，但可以通過線粒體的盤狀嵴來鑑別。

歸類[編輯]

核形蟲與動物、真菌以及其它一些小類群同屬後鞭毛生物^[2]。後續研究顯示核形蟲是真菌的姊妹群^[3]^[4]。2018年，Tedersoo將核形蟲獨立劃分為核形蟲界（Nucleariae），囊括核形蟲門（Nuclearida）及泉生蟲門（Fonticulida）^[5]。

形態特徵[編輯]

核形蟲通常很小, 最大不過50微米。
