早年生活與學業[編輯]
薩頓福斯特出生於佐治亞州的斯泰茨伯勒市，在密歇根州特洛伊市長大。15歲時，她報名了選秀節目Star Search[1][2]，同時也參加了米老鼠俱樂部的演員選拔。此後，她加入由Tommy Tune指導的戲劇《威爾·羅傑斯的生平》（The Will Rogers Follies）的全國巡演中，並從特洛伊高中提前退學。（但通過函授課程拿到畢業文憑。）[3]隨後，她進入卡內基梅隆大學就讀一年，[4]但為成為職業戲劇演員，她再度提前退學。2012年5月，她獲得波爾州立大學榮譽博士學位，以表彰她在戲劇、電視及音樂領域的傑出表現，以及對波爾州立大學學生的積極影響。[5]
