2003Rock am Ring上的瑪麗蓮·曼森

歷史

Rock am Ring原本的規劃只是一次性音樂節慶典，這可追溯到1985的短期的音樂節，但由於它在商業上的成功，一共有7萬5千人的觀眾，所以主辦單位決定每年舉辦這音樂節。在1991年，音樂節有新理念：活動組織者既邀請著名的音樂藝人，還給大眾帶來比較新鮮的、很時興的樂隊。於1993年，Rock im Park第一次在維也納舉辦。1994年，Rock im Park移師到被遺棄的慕尼黑-里姆機場, 1995年進駐慕尼黑的慕尼黑奧林匹克體育場,舉辦了兩年。自從1997年，Rock im Park就在紐倫堡的法蘭克人體育場或周邊地區舉辦。

2007年音樂節上，一個科學實驗用來測驗人們同時跳躍時，人們巨大的身體所產生的效應。這實驗數據用來計算如果全體中國人口一同跳躍時將產生何種數據結果。從這理論性實驗活動顯示，該實驗沒有得出顯著的結論。
