Rüdiger Heinrich Jung (* 25th December 1950, Neuwied) is a german professor of business studies, especially management/leading and organisational development at RheinAhrCampus Remagen of the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz. He is the author of various scientific publications as well as an advisor to business leaders.

After graduating from the gymnasium Koblenz in 1970, he studied economics and social psychology at the universities of Bonn and Cologne. At the University of Cologne he graduated in 1976 with a degree in business administration. Activities in the steel industry followed, including as Assistant of the Chief Executive Officer of Thyssen Klönne AG in Dortmund and at the Department of Economics of the University of Siegen with Prof. Dr. Eberhard Seidel. In 1984 he graduated with a thesis on the self-organization of enterprises, gaining a Dr. rer. pol. at the University of Siegen. Jung served at the Head Office of Hoesch AG, Dortmund.

In 1990 he became a professor of management/leadership at the Fach­hochschule Koblenz (english: University of Applied Science Koblenz). In 1997 he moved within the University to the site at Remagen, where he was chairman of the development committee for the new University of Applied Sciences Koblenz, site Remagen, from 1997 to 2000; during which time the post was extended to include organizational development. From 1997 to 2007, Jung was Jean Monnet Professor at the European Commissions Jean Monnet Program.

Jung conducts research in the areas of leadership, self-organization and cooperation in business networks. He has published a number of books and articles and is an advisor to senior economic executives.

Private Life[編輯]

Jung is engaged in various social projects on a voluntary basis. He was active in youth work in the field of sport, participated in regional development-initiatives and others for his home town of Neuwied, and is a volunteer in committees and boards of ecclesiastic and social bodies. 2001, he ran as an independent for elections for the Landrat in the Kreis Mayen-Koblenz
