六溴合鋨(IV)酸銨可以在異腈t 四氫呋喃 還原為trans -OsBr2 (CNBut 4 。[3] 氫溴酸 酸化的乙醇中和Ph2 RAs回流反應，可以得到Os(III)的配合物OsBr3 (Ph2 RAs)3 （R為烷基）。[4] 3 )4 ]Cl2 反應，可以得到[M(NH3 )4 ][OsBr6 ]（M=Pd, Pt）。[5]
