貝里[1]（英語：Bury）是位於英國英格蘭大曼徹斯特郡的一座城市[2]，在歷史上曾屬於蘭開夏郡。在工業革命時期貝里曾是一座工業都市[3]。貝里現在以其的露天市場貝里市場而聞名[4]，是曼徹斯特有軌電車系統的終點站。英國工業革命初期飛梭的發明人約翰·凱是在這裏出生的。
詞源[編輯]
貝里來自一個古老的英文單詞，意為「城堡」、「大本營」或「堡壘」，也就是現代英語中市鎮的早期表現形式。[5]
