黑腳語又稱西克西卡語（Siksiká [siksiká] / ᓱᖽᐧᖿ），是北美洲原住民黑腳人使用的一種語言，屬阿爾岡昆語族。
和其他阿爾岡昆語相比，黑腳語的音系和詞彙較為特別[4]。黑腳語的音繫結構比較簡單，音位較少，包含11個基礎輔音和3個基礎元音。黑腳語是一種高低重音語言[5][6]。黑腳語的詞素很多，單詞內部結構十分複雜，被視為一種多式綜合語，這和其他阿爾岡昆語的特點一致[7]。
近年來，黑腳語的母語人口大幅減少，屬於瀕危語言[8]。大部分的黑腳語詞素的形式和含義之間是一一對應的，有着典型的黏着語特徵；但亦有不少詞素具有多義性，展現出屈折語特點[9]。黑腳語名詞和動詞的詞幹都不可單獨使用，而必須變換形式[10]。由於其形態複雜，黑腳語的語序相當靈活。

黑腳語有18個輔音，除/ʔ/, /x/, /j/ 和 /w/ 之外存在長短音的分立[11][12]。

黑腳語有三個基本的單元音/i o a/[11][12][13]。

短單元音存在同位異音現象，/a/ 和 /o/ 在長輔音前分別變為[ʌ] 和 [ʊ]；/i/ 在閉音節中變為[ɪ][13]。
雙元音[編輯]
- ai在長輔音前發[ɛ]音，在/i/和/ʔ/前發[ei]（西克西卡方言為[ai]）音，在其他情況下發[æ]（凱奈方言）或[ei]（西克西卡方言）
- ao在/ʔ/前發[au]音，在其他情況下發[ɔ]音。
- oi在長輔音前發[y]音，其他情況下發/oi/音。
長短音[編輯]
黑腳語的輔音和元音都存在長短音的分立。長短元音僅在持續時間上有不同，因此/oo/音和/o/音同音，惟前者持續時間更長[6]。

高低重音[編輯]
黑腳語是高低重音語言。每個多音節單詞都有至少一個高音元音。一般來說，一個多音節黑腳語詞彙的重音一般是由高降低的，因此首個重音通常要比第二個重音的音調高。在以拉丁字母為基礎的正字法中，高低重音通常以銳音符來表示[6]。

黑腳人中的西克西卡人、凱奈人和阿帕托西皮卡尼人在1975年採納了以拉丁字母為基礎的正字法，一共包含13個字母[15]。

高低重音通常以銳音符或下劃線來表示。長音以雙寫表示，如以aa表示/a:/[15]。
亦有以加拿大原住民音節文字為基礎的正字法。
